For Victory Day, the Saint Elizabeth Monastery traditionally organized an event with Russian tricolors, Z-symbols representing support for Russian aggression against Ukraine, portraits of “DNR” militants, and an exhibition of weapons.
The military-style celebration took place in Elisabeth Park, where visitors, including children, could experience the romanticism of wartime—posing with weapons, shooting at a shooting range, enjoying soldier’s porridge, and listening to wartime songs.
In addition to servicemen from the 120th Separate Mechanized Brigade of Minsk, photos posted on the monastery’s website show that the primary participants of the event were patients from Psychoneurological Boarding Home No. 3 for the elderly and disabled in Minsk, located near the monastery on Vygotsky Street.
