“Orlyata” is a youth movement at the Saint Elizabeth Monastery, comprising students from the Sunday school and the “Ichvis” school.
A summer camp is organized annually for the “Orlyata” at the men’s farmstead in the village of Lysaia Gora.
We looked into program descriptions and photo reports and found that no season goes without a military program:
2021: The “Orlyata” learned how to pack parachutes, disassemble and assemble rifles, load magazines, take shooting positions, and quickly put on military gear.
2022: … conducted combat training, shared knowledge on handling weapons, provided first aid, explained the specifics of forest expeditions, and gave an entire lecture on intellectual development.
