In July, funds were raised at the Saint Elizabeth Monastery for a “Bukhanka”* vehicle – now it is also being used for Russian reconnaissance.
Nikolai Gavrilov is a writer and war correspondent (as he describes himself). He is the head of the “Help for Donbass” initiative group, and according to the monastery’s website, he is set to head back to frontline areas with a humanitarian mission at the beginning of November.
Here is a photo of Nikolai Gavrilov.

On his Telegram channel, he reported how the “Bukhanka” vehicle, which was funded by donations from Belarus, is being used.
In addition to humanitarian purposes (delivery of supplies, evacuation, etc.), he also mentioned reconnaissance. The post was accompanied by a video where he, armed with a rifle (screenshot 2), gets into the vehicle with armed soldiers.
“The ‘Bukhanka’ at work. Once again, thank you to everyone who participated. It transports supplies, the wounded, and people for evacuation. A night vehicle. A night life.
And we just need to make our way with reconnaissance from point ‘A’ to point ‘B’. To the edge of the world. Where ‘Birds don’t sing, trees don’t grow…’.”

*A “Bukhanka” is a nickname for the UAZ-452, a type of rugged Russian-made van known for its boxy shape, resembling a loaf of bread. It is widely used for various purposes, including military and humanitarian operations, due to its reliability and capability to navigate rough terrain.
